THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LOVE OF GOD
AND THE LOVE OF THE DEVIL
It is the 208th message.
God has his own love and the devil also has his own. But what is the love that dominates in us or in which of the two love is man found? The time has come for man to not more confuse the love of God and that of the devil. But for God so loved the men by giving them his love who is Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ knowing himself as the only love which is the only key of deliverance, greatness, power and richness of the kingdom of heaven, he recommended us to be like him when he says: “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have love you” (John 15/12). Apostle Paul also says: “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment because as he is so we are in this world”. The person who wants to be great in front of God must try to know how Jesus Christ loved man and to be an example of this way; that is to love one another. That is to say, if we want to be God’s true children, we have to love one another as Jesus Christ has loved us. Hence, to love one another as Jesus Christ is all.
Today, some people say: they are Christians, and if it was the case, they would live the love of God and consequently, half of the people were to become God’s angel and the evil would not abound or dominate. However, we have to understand that all what the Lord has given to us becomes manifest through the love of one another. That is why he says: “these things I commend you, that you love one another” (John 15/17). Apostle Paul donned of this love makes us understand that: “For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “you shall love your neighbour as yourself” (Galatians 5/14). Because if man loves his neighbour as himself, the love of God in him would not push him to be jealous, to mock, to say evil, and to be arrogant in front of his neighbour because of what he is or what he possesses, or to do something with dishonesty or with an aim to dominate him. When the love of God is in us or when we are in this love, we forgive all no matter the gravity of the problem. We do not rejoice in the interest of injustice but we share the pain of one another. When the love of God is in us, we are sad to see a person lacking firstly what is important for his soul and then what is essential for his flesh. When the love of God is in us, we do not like or consider man because of his material or his title, but of his justice, holiness and mercy which are of Christ. When we have the love of God, we do not consider our neighbour as someone who must be given for sacrifice in order to have money, protection, honour and power. When we have the love of God, we do not brag or make an advertisement after we have done a charitable deed to our neighbour.
The love of God does not share to wait for recognition or his neighbour’s thanks. The love of God does not consider blood, race and language, because he helps every one who is in need of something. When the love of God is in us, we do not only pray for ourselves but also for others. By living the love of God while being young, we must consider all the parents as being ours, in the same way, being a parent; you must consider all the children as yours. Besides, God’s love is not firstly seen on what we receive or give as gift. However, the love of the devil relies on blood, flesh and hypocrisy. It is in the love of the material that man loves his neighbour. And also in this love, man gives with the aim to be envied, cheered, appreciated… by another. That is why when you see a person possessing supplies such as (plantain, cocoa yams) and animals such as (goats, pigs, chicken...) he prefers to give a bunch of plantain and a rooster to the rich man who is not in need instead of giving to his neighbour (the poor) who is in need. But he does this because he knows that he will benefit money in return.
You should know that it is the love of trade. However, with this love, we can not give to a person who will give nothing in return, but we only give to those who will multiply. Also, with the love of the devil, we easily help a person of the same stomach, the same blood, the same language, the same religion with us, but not a person outside because we consider him like a stranger so that he should not benefit from our help but we ignore that we are also strangers. That is to say; man considers his neighbour in relation to what he possesses. That is why you hear some people saying: “I will get married to such a man because his family is rich”. With the devil’s love, when someone grants materials in a prison, an orphanage or a hospital, he invites Medias so that the world should see this gesture that he has made. But is he doing this in honour to God or the devil? From time to time, these sectarians make these works of charity because it is a condition coming from their master. At times, these things are often mandated.
Besides, the devil’s love makes people to drink the human blood, to sacrifice their similar in order to become rich, glorious and later offer money, bags of rice, bags of salt, cardboards of soap, cardboards of oil and sugar to those who are in need. And the blinds while seeing this action, find that these murders and sectarians are kind (they do this act as if they have the love of their neighbour). But this world knows but the devil’s love and this one is only hypocrisy. You must understand that the person who loves you is that one who, no matter the fact that he has no material to offer you, he does not think evil for you because he prays God for your health and so that you should prosper both in your soul and in your flesh. This is to say, love is not always found in the sharing of the material, but it is more in the thought and the feeling for his neighbour to succeed in all what he undertakes to do. If the love of the Lord Jesus Christ was in man, it would have been the total deliverance. In the same way, it is in the life and love of the Lord Jesus Christ that we become a god. That is why Ephesians 5/1-2 says: “Let it then be your desire to be like God, as well-loved children; and be living in love, even as Christ had love for you, and gave himself up for us, an offering to God for a perfume of a sweet smell”. Because the walk in Christ’s love renders us living, strong and powerful in all, while the love of the devil makes us to become weak, impotent and dead since it is this love that pushes people to go and listen to God’s word where there is luxury, musical instruments, money, prayers and miracles and not where the truth is revealed.
Only Jesus Christ loves man because he gives him a value that is superior to the one that we find here on earth.
